MUHAMMAD ALI HASAN Director/Writer
Muhammad Ali Hasan received his MFA in Film Directing from Chapman University in 2007. He graduated Cum Laude from Occidental College in 2004 and received Thesis Honors in an Independent Pattern of Study major that he created, Urban and Environmental Filmmaking. The major was a combination of Environmental Science, Teaching, and Filmmaking, allowing Muhammad to work as a public school tyro-teacher in the Los Angeles public school system, in addition to serving as a teacher assistant to one of California’s top environmental scientists, Dr. Jim Sadd.
Muhammad currently serves as a political commentator for Fox News, MSNBC, and BBC Radio, and is a former regular guest of Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, as well as the Dennis Miller Show of CNBC. His commentaries mostly focused on relations between the Muslim World and America, as Muhammad’s history of political activism includes the creation of the group Muslims For Bush in 2004. In 2005, Muhammad co-founded the Muslims For America Think Tank, a political organization that provides policy recommendations to American politicians on issues dealing with the War On Terror.
Muhammad’s motivation in making RABIA is to open a dialogue about today’s global conflicts, as he believes that a dialogue is the first step towards true peace. Muhammad considers himself a practicing Sufi Muslim, Christian, and Jew, and references Mother Mary, Jesus Christ, Sufi Saint Rabia Al-Basri, President Reagan, President George W Bush, and his mother, Seeme Gull Hasan, as his heroes. In following the example left by Prophet Muhammad PBUH, Muhammad is completely against all forms of suicide bombing and terrorism. |

SEEME GULL HASAN Executive Producer
Seeme Gull Hasan was born in Lahore, Pakistan and migrated to the United States in 1971. She is a graduate of the prestigious Kinniard College for Women (Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan). Seeme is the founder and co-chairman of Muslims for America (www.muslimsforamerica.us) and the independent record label iSufiRock (www.isufirock.com). Seeme also serves as Chairman of the Hasan Family Foundation.
Seeme’s greatest passion is arts and music education for children. Some of her vigor comes from the fact that Seeme herself was not able to take piano lessons as a child despite her great desire to do so. As an adult, Seeme eventually devoted over ten thousand hours towards the education of young students in performing arts. One of her greatest accomplishments includes the founding and funding of the Colorado Music Fest at the University of Southern Colorado (now Colorado State University at Pueblo). The Colorado Music Fest, based in Southern Colorado, includes a series of performances, ballets, and symphony concerts, performed by both professionals and amateur musicians. Every performance included free admission to economically-disadvantaged children, many of whom have had never previously attended a live theater peformance. The major achievement of the Colorado Music Fest is a series of camps where professionals teach campers singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments.
Seeme’s business skills were crafted through years of sideline advising of her husband, Dr. Malik Hasan, who founded one of the nation’s largest health maintenance organizations, HealthNet. Seeme is also on the board of the electronic healthcare company, HealthTrio. Appropriately, Seeme is one of the world’s few women to have a business school named after her – the Seeme & Malik Hasan School of Business at Colorado State University at Pueblo. The school’s graduates rang among the highest in state testing. Her primary motivation in founding the business school was to offer an affordable and quality-driven business degree opportunity to every Southern Coloradoan.
For her efforts, Seeme has received numerous awards, including the “Person of the Year” from the Alumni Association of the University of Southern Colorado, the “President’s Award” for service to the University of Southern Colorado, “Woman of the Year of Performing Arts” from the Pueblo Chamber Orchestra, and “Woman of the Year of 2004” from the Pakistani cultural organization Safeer E Pakistan (in conjunction with TV Pakistan).
Seeme is most proud of the “Seeme Hasan PEACE (Providing Education in Cultural Equailty) Award,” given annually as a scholarship, in her name, by the Pueblo Hispanic Education Foundation (PHEF), to a Latino student from the Pueblo, Colorado community. PHEF named the annual award after Seeme in recognition of her work with at-risk, Latino youth.
Through the Hasan Family Foundation, Seeme will continue to build bridges between America and the Muslim World, between disadvantage youth and the arts, using the arts and culture as the connecting stones. |

Adrian is a candidate for an MFA in producing at Chapman University. He graduated Cum Laude at New Jersey City University, where he received the prestigious Dr. Joseph Drew Award for Excellence in Media Production. His short film Millie and Ray. won the New York Young Film Festival which awarded him the Time Warner Scholarship. He has interred with CBS, WB, Sony, and presently, the International Creative Management.
Adrian is producing Rabia, a very contemporary film concerning a topic that still receives a lot of media attention. According to Brevard, “The film explains a difficult situation without taking a stand or forcing you to do so. There is value in pondering such topics from this viewpoint. The film’s response is that open awareness and the exchange of ideas is the beginning of a solution. You cannot suppress reality, or freedom of speech and expression. This film vividly demonstrates that life is not black and white - we live in shades of gray.” |
